BARC 2012 Ice Race Grand Prix Weekend _ January 28 29 Still a go

BARC's Weekend is a go with Rubber to Ice and Street stud classes ONLY.

Due to limited ice depth on the track, Full competition studs (Menards) classes will be eliminated from this weekends schedule.

Snow has been trucked into the fairgrounds to increase Bank height.

BARC's Grand Prix of Ice Racing is coming up fast. This year BARC is hosting the second weekend in the series on January 28 / 29. so get those snuggies out and come join us in Minden for a great weekend of ice racing.

Membership Dues

Because of the cost of running our club our Membership Dues have been increased to $45.00. This was decided by a membership vote at the January 3, meeting by a quorum of the membership. The increase is due to the HST which we now have to pay.

Starting with our next addition of the BARC newsletter (July) is going green. In order to cut down on club expenses we are going to send out the BARC newletter by email to all those who have provided us with email accounts. For those who don't have email or wish the newsletter to be mailed to them (please notify track1mom@yahoo.ca if you wish yours to be mailed) we will still mail yours out to you.

MONTHLY GO KART RACES

WANT TO JOIN A GO KART RACING GROUP ?

Once a month some BARC members and other people race go carts at Formula Kartways in Brampton.There are two groups made up of the fast ones and the slow ones.The fast drivers race for prize money of $40,$25 and $15 and the slower group races for 1st,2nd and 3rd place trophies.The cost is $82 for 75 laps consisting of one 15 practice lap and two 30 lap sprints and the fee includes the prize money and trophies..If you are interested please contact Clive Rayman at clive_rayman@sympatico.ca .That is clive with an underscore _.I believe the group is limited to 16 drivers so it will be first come first served.Bring a helmet if you have one
