On July 6th, BARC members and guests celebrated memories of Molson Indy’s past and it’s future, with the club again next year, by marking the occasion with a Dinner/Festival of Lights Cruise along the Trent Severn Waterway in Peterborough. The riverboat took our group up two locks and then docked us at Del Crary Park where Crooner Matt Dusk performed live on the Park’s Bandstand with a new sound system that was designed to pipe into the Riverboat’s speaker system. When the concert was over the boat proceeded to continue cruising Little Lake in Peterborough and positioned itself in the lake to watch the Fireworks. The evening Party was four and a half hours long of great entertainment, conversation and company. The evening was a success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. BARC’s President Mike McDiarmid and Pat (lovingly known as the first lady) were in attendance as many other long standing members such as Bill Robb and Robin, David Bayley and Betty, Miss Lily, Little Greg and even members from other Clubs such as Ralph Klingmann and Anka. Newer members such as Heather Wadden and Family, the President’s family—
(Jeff, Bre and Anne Owen) were onboard, and Race Director Paul Einarson and Nann. I myself was also onboard with family and had a tremendous time. All in all 23 were in attendance and because of the size of our group BARC was given the lower deck for us only. So moving around and hopping tables and chairs was the norm allowing everyone great opportunity to converse with all and many took the time to visit the upper decks, the bow and stern to watch the boat lift in the historic locks and then sight-see along the river. Take the time to cruise our pictures and be prepared to join us with more events to come.
See you all at the Next Event, many thanks go to all those that attended this event and made it such a success.
