2009 BARC Championship Information

BARC  CHAMPIONSHIP 2009

This year we have changed the qualifications and the scoring to give each and every individual driver the chance of winning a trophy. Last year it was brought to our attention that the way we arrived at our results did not make it fair to each class of drivers, and in fact there was next to no way that certain classes would be able to get trophies. It was discussed and a new plan was agreed upon to make it fair to everyone involved.

HOW TO QUALIFY.

1.     You must be a BARC member.
2.     You must run in both BARC events.
3.     You must have your BARC decals on your vehicle.

HOW THE SCORING WORKS.

There will be an example at the end in order to show you how we came to our results.

1.     We take the final finishing results from each race you participated in according to My Laps (BARC EVENTS ONLY).
2.     We add your scores together to get your combined total.

EXAMPLE:

             RACE 1
FINISH            NAME &                          YOUR
POSITION        CAR #                             SCORE
      1              Barc Member # 33               7
      2              Non Member # 828              6
      3              Non Member # 001              5
      4              Barc Member # 100             4
      5              Non Member # 98                3
      6              Barc Member # 42               2
      7              Non Member # 3                  1

            RACE 2
FINISH            NAME &                          YOUR
POSITION        CAR #                             SCORE
      1              Barc Member # 33               7
      2              Non Member # 98                6
      3              Barc Member # 100             5
      4              Barc Member # 42              4
      5              Non Member # 001              3
      6              Non Member # 3                  2
      7              Non Member # 828              1

1. Barc Member # 33      14
2. Barc Member #100       9
3. Barc Member # 42        6

Each race you participated in will give us different results, but this is how we get your scores. We are using your total scores only from the BARC events this year.

HOW TROPHIES ARE AWARDED.

We will be taking the First highest scores from each group and each class that qualifies ( GT 1, 2 and so on). If necessary we will go through them again until we have reached our Ten Winners. This ensures that every group and every class gets an equal chance at a trophy.
